The Algerian News Agency was established on the 1st of December 1961 in Tunisia during the national liberation war in order to be the mouthpiece of the Algerian revolution on the international media scene. And, of course, its headquarters moved on the day of independence to Algeria. It was transformed on April 20, 1991 into a public institution of an economic and commercial nature, and it began to exercise its mission as a public service through the development of the production of general and specialized news of a political, economic, cultural and social nature, especially to publicize the events, works and achievements of Algeria.
