Radio Hala FM was launched in 2007 in the Governorate of Muscat as the first private radio in the history of the Sultanate. On May 23, the Omani businessman Maqbool bin Humaid Al Saleh launched the radio, which later opened the door for investment in the field of radio and television in Oman, in a joyful ceremony under the patronage of His Highness the Sayyed Shihab bin Tariq Al Said, Adviser to His Majesty the Sultan, at the Crowne Plaza Muscat.
