A Saudi radio broadcasting from Makkah, affiliated with the Saudi Broadcasting Corporation, began broadcasting on May 11, 1962 AD, the radio aims to introduce Islam and its principles and broadcast Islamic awareness in addition to fighting extremist currents and ideas that seek to distort the image of Islam. The radio was established under the name of “Voice of Islam” radio. From Makkah Al-Mukarramah, and in February 1971 the name of the radio was transferred to the “Call of Islam” radio.
