Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

At least 10 years of relevant experience in public relations and/or related fields including research, advertising, management consulting, media and publishing
Preferred Qualifications

Account Planning experience and the latest and most innovative methods for obtaining customer insights and creating relevant, inspiring brands
A demonstrated track record of developing and executing successful online, social media and mobile marketing programs
A visionary in the digital space who is forward thinking and knows how to demonstrate the value of digital to our clients as well as internal stakeholders
Experience analyzing brand equity in context of trends and consumer motivations in order to define the most compelling opportunities for brands
The track record of being the expert within the agency on the client’s business and their consumers
A relentless and very visible passion for the role of Account Planning
Track record of developing and executing profitable campaigns that meet client objectives
Strong leadership qualities including superb people management skills
Ability to attract, motivate, empower, coach and retain staff
International experience is a plus
Responsibilities and Expectations

SKILLS (Client & Stakeholder Engagement, Business & Project Management, Business Development and Talent Development/Leadership)

Broad leadership regarding Account Planning to a larger team of indirect reports, including Research Analysts, Creatives, Community Managers, Project Managers and Account Leads
Insight, strategy development and idea generation to new business pitches
Leading primary research specialists and secondary research analysts to provide clear specifications for actionable relevant research to the team and clients
Representation of the client’s customers in client meetings and presentation of research/strategy findings
Crafting clear creative briefs and provides clear persuasive and inspiring briefings to creative
Provide strategic counsel, guidance and leadership to staff, supervising several staff members, and ensuring the team's success by managing work quality and productivity levels
Seek and suggest process improvements and support positive change initiatives
Effectively manage staff utilization to meet profitability targets
Grow business prospects with existing clients; expand scope of work using Edelman network capabilities
Lead new business outreach process and win business
Participate in the development and adoption of new products/services; leverage IP with clients
Commit to continuous learning and improvement of leadership skills; set and pursue stretch goals
Vision to train a team of curious Social Media experts in their discipline and how it can bring value to clients
Amazing writing and presentation skills
Mentor, coach and support team members ensuring constant development of their skills
Consistently hold self and staff accountable for behavior and performance
Contribute to business growth through introducing clients to new capabilities, building network of industry contacts and participating in relevant professional organizations
Assist in management of interns and Jr Community Managers
Demonstrate professional behaviors and pursuit of excellence in all operations
Supervise staff by motivating, coaching, consistently providing feedback, holding them accountable and conducting their reviews
