The Cupertino giant claims that audience would incorrectly identify Apple-Man with the company.

Apple is presently engaged in several legal challenges, including a high-profile disagreement with Epic Games, but it isn't too preoccupied to launch a trademark case over a forthcoming indie action comedy film named Apple-Man.

Apple filed an opposition with the United States Patent and Trademark Office in December, requesting that Ukrainian filmmaker Vasyl Moskalenko's trademark registration for his independent film be denied.

According to reports, the Cupertino giant claims that audience would incorrectly identify Apple-Man with the company, causing the film to weaken its brand. The parody Apple-Man is about a superhero who can float apples. It was crowdfunded through Kickstarter, with a total of $120,000 collected.

Apple-Man is a parody of well-known superhero stories. The protagonist is Apple-Man, a superhero with the ability to float apples.

The majority of Apple-filming Man's took place in Kyiv, in real Ukrainian locales such as the Kyiv stronghold. Apple has filed a 467-page complaint against the film's maker, claiming that buyers may assume that 'Apple Man' is "connected with, or sanctioned, sponsored, or furnished by Apple."

When Apple filed an objection to Moskalenko's trademark, the film was still in post-production. Apple said that the trademark is meant to deceive customers, citing a breach of the Lanham Act.
