Mashable: Apple is gearing up to roll out the final update for iOS 17 today, which will be made available to iPhones worldwide.
Apple is commencing the global release of iOS 17 for its iPhones on September 18 (today). This new software update for mobile users was initially introduced during the WWDC 2023 event in June and has been accessible in beta form for the preceding few weeks.
After a prolonged period of testing, Apple is now prepared to launch its new operating system worldwide. The updated user interface boasts novel improvements such as Standby Mode, Name Drop, and other features, which are exclusively available for iPhone XS and newer models.
iOS 17 eligible devices:
The forthcoming iOS 17 update from the renowned California-based technology company will no longer provide software support for the iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, and iPhone X. Nevertheless, it is noteworthy that iOS 17 will be compatible with the iPhone SE (second generation) and all iPhones that were released in 2018 or later.
To download of iOS 17, follow these steps:
To initiate the update process on your iPhone, kindly access the Settings application.
Proceed to select the 'General' option, followed by 'Software Update'. Subsequently, select the 'Download and Install' option.
For an immediate update, kindly select the 'Install' option.
Alternatively, you may opt to select 'Later' and choose between 'Install Tonight' or 'Remind Me Later'.
If you opt for 'Install Tonight', kindly ensure that your device is connected to a power source overnight to facilitate the update process by morning. In the event of a prompt, kindly enter your passcode.
Upon selecting 'Download and Install', a loading bar will appear, accompanied by an estimated download time. Once the download is complete, kindly restart your device and await the installation of iOS 17.
