Award-winning business journalist Frank Kane has started writing for Arab News, the Middle East’s leading English-language daily.

Kane, who is based in the UAE, will write a twice-weekly column on regional business affairs, appearing on Mondays and Thursdays.

He enjoyed a 25-year career in British business journalism, with titles including The Financial Times, The Telegraphand The Sunday Times. When he stepped down as business editor of The Observer in 2006, Kane moved to the UAE and has since been involved in several media ventures.

In 2016 he received the Excellence in Journalism Award from Citibank and Columbia University, NYC, only the second time it has been awarded in the UAE.
