Mashable: The Dubai Ruler says the most important wealth lies in data

Sheikh Mohammed has said that the world is in a new historic era which is driven by technology.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum has shared a series of images from his recent visit to Gitex Global 2022.

The Ruler of Dubai has hailed the five-day tech event in his recent post.

On Tuesday, October 11, 2022, the Vice President and the Ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed toured Dubai’s Gitex 2022.

The world’s largest technology exhibition, Gitex Global 2022 is taking place in Dubai World Trade Center with more than 5000 companies from 90 countries showcasing their cutting-edge technology.

Sharing the images of his visit on his official Twitter account, he wrote, “During my visit today to the largest technology exhibition in the world "GITEX Global", with the participation of 5,000 companies from 90 countries.”

The Dubai Ruler continued, “A quick tour of the existing global technology companies confirms that humanity is in a historical transit stage towards a future governed by technology and its economy is made of knowledge and its most important wealth lies in data.”

The Dubai Ruler was joined on his tour of the high-profile trade fair by the chairman of the Dubai Border Security Council- Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed, the president of Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, the chairman of Dubai Airports and the chairman and chief executive of Emirates Airline and Group- Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed, Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy and Remote Work Applications- Omar Al Olama, and other senior officials from the Dubai government.

The Gitex Global 2022 was opened by Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance on Monday.
