The grandeur of Dubai’s Global Village has been known globally as it has been quite popular among tourists and locals alike.

The multi-cultural theme park that reopened for the year 2020 post the Covid-19 lockdown, celebrated its 25th year, where 78 nations across the world participated. Looking at the event’s great response, it was also extended by two weeks for Ramadan.

The theme park which is now going to be shut for summer break concluded its celebration on Sunday with a grand finale celebration. The visitors of the event were jaw-dropping firework displays as the venue celebrated its silver jubilee season finale.

To make their celebration memorable and grand, Global Village teamed up with Skydive Dubai which went on to break a new Guinness World Record title.

Representing the 78 cultures that were present at Global Village during its 25th season, 20 skydivers jumped from an altitude of more than 4,570 metres, lighting the skies with 78 fireworks. With such a spectacular display of fireworks, the Global Village broke the Guinness World Record title for ‘Highest altitude fireworks display.’

After the grand display of the fireworks was done, Guinness World Record official presented the chief executive of Global Village, Bader Anwahi with the 25th certificate of the season.

The initiative was in line with Global Village’s aim to break 25 Guinness World Records throughout its 25th season, which took place from October 25 to May 2.

Not just that, it not the first time Global Village has broken a Guinness World Record in this 25th edition. The Global Village over the past eight months also broke the record for the longest line of mandi and the largest display of mandi (after which it donated 4,880 mandi meals to charity), a largest mosaic that read ‘100,000,000 meals’ that used 2,500 lanterns, most nationalities on a theme park ride, largest pin badge to celebrate International Happiness Day and world’s largest ticket.
