Data measurement and analytics company, Nielsen, has appointed Andrey Dvoychenkov as the new Managing Director for Arabian Peninsula and Pakistan, based in Dubai, UAE. Andrey succeeds Arslan Ashraf, who takes up a new role as Nielsen’s Consumer Insights Leader for Southeast Asia, China, North Asia and Pacific, based in Kuala Lumpur.
Andrey brings with him 15 years of leadership experience and knowledge of the market research industry. After graduating with a bachelor’s degree in the faculty of economics, Andrey joined Nielsen in Russia to take on a client servicing role in the retail measurement business.
As the Managing Director for Arabian Peninsula and Pakistan, Andrey will play a key role in meeting the company’s growth goals as well as developing and implementing Nielsen’s business strategy, the release stated.
Elaborating on the appointment and strategies ahead, Nick Papagregoriou, President of Nielsen Eastern Europe, Southeast Asia, Africa and Middle East said: “Under Andrey’s leadership, we will continue to drive an integrated client proposition, leveraging the organisation’s capabilities. His track record, strong leadership skills and in-depth knowledge of the business to benchmark across developed and developing markets put him in an excellent position to lead our teams in uncovering new opportunities for our clients and the business. This change in leadership is part of Nielsen’s Talent Movement initiative; as a global company, we felt we had the opportunity to leverage on the differences in experience, cultures, and uniqueness of our associates across the markets to deliver impactful outcomes for their fellow associates, our clients, partners and communities.”
