The art season during summer has gripped the region with many exhibitions taking place in the city. Galleries have been flocked by art connoisseurs to take a glimpse of the various artistic presentations.
One of the exhibitions that have hooked art lovers in the Kingdom is the 50x50 Art Exhibition that was recently launched to showcase 250 50-cm works by 110 artists from across the Kingdom.
Organised by the Saudi Arabian Society for Culture and Arts (SASCA), the exhibition is taking place at the Desert Heritage Gallery in Alkhobar. Another striking aspect of the exhibition is that some part of the profit from the exhibition will go to Asharqia Orphans Association.
Throwing more light on the exhibition, the exhibition’s supervisor, Yathrib Al-Sudair, shared, “These artworks are characterized by their diversity in terms of the methods used, implementation and various materials. They were presented in an innovative aesthetic manner.”
The Director of the Saudi Arabian Society for Culture and Arts, Youssef Al-Harbi, also shared that it will continue to hold training workshops in music, theatre, and visual arts.
Praising the artists’ willingness to take part in the exhibition, Al-Harbi said, “Next Tuesday, Beit Al-Sard (House of Narration) will discuss Emirati novelist Asma Al-Zarouni’s book ‘Courts Street’ at Abdullah Al-Sheikh Art Hall,” adding, “SASCA is preparing to announce its participation in numerous art exhibitions focused on photography, digital drawing, and visual arts.”
