It underlines the fact that the platform continues to store our media on their servers.
We have all been through this. We have accidentally deleted media including photos and videos on WhatApp, only to find that it is lost.
But now WhatsApp is testing a new feature on its beta app for Android that will let you re-download deleted photos, videos, GIFs, voice messages, documents, even after they has been deleted from your mobile phone's storage.
According to a report on wabetainfo.com, WhatsApp has been allowing download of deleted media for a few days.
You will be able to download the lost files if the messages, which had been part of a media attachment, are not deleted by the sender. If deleted, the download will not be possible.
The new update underlines the fact that the platform continues to store our media on their servers, even after deleting them.
