Mashable: The highly-anticipated smart ring is set to be unveiled at the Galaxy Unpacked event on July 10, featuring a range of biomonitoring capabilities.

Samsung Galaxy Ring made its debut at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2024 in February as Samsung's latest addition to the wearables category.

Although the South Korean technology giant has only provided a sneak peek of the smart ring so far, more details are expected to be revealed soon. The highly-anticipated smart ring is set to be unveiled at the Galaxy Unpacked event on July 10, featuring a range of biomonitoring capabilities.

Prior to its official release, an APK teardown has unveiled some of these features, such as skin temperature measurement, snore detection, and more. As per a report by Android Authority, Samsung's Health app is anticipated to integrate these health-monitoring functions with the launch of the Galaxy Ring.

While these features are not yet accessible to the public, they were discovered through an APK teardown of the Samsung Health app. Users of the Galaxy Ring will reportedly have the ability to monitor their stress levels and heart rate.

The Health app is also expected to provide a graphical representation of these metrics for tracking purposes. Additionally, Samsung's smart ring will allow for skin temperature measurement and menstrual cycle prediction.

The report indicates that Galaxy Ring could potentially include snore detection, but this feature will only be accessible when using the smartphone as a companion.

While most of these biomonitoring features are already available with the Galaxy Watch lineup, the introduction of the Galaxy Ring may provide a more discreet way of monitoring one's health for individuals who do not wish to wear a smartwatch. The Galaxy Ring's case was allegedly leaked last month and it may feature a jewelry box-like design with flat edges.

It is rumored to have a raised circular section in the middle to hold the smart wearable in place, as well as a charging indicator to display the ring's battery status, along with a charging pin.
