Football enthusiasts in the Middle East are gearing up for an exciting event as Abu Dhabi prepares to host this year's edition of the Saudi Super Cup, featuring stars like Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema. The tournament, scheduled for April 8 and 11, will mark the first time the event is held outside of Saudi Arabia.

The three-match tournament will kick off on April 8 at 9pm with a match between Al Ittihad Club and Al Wehda FC at Al Nahyan Stadium, followed by a clash between Al Hilal SFC and Al Nassr FC at the Mohamed bin Zayed Stadium at 11.30pm. The winners will compete in the final on April 11 at the same venue.

The Saudi Super Cup, launched in 2013 by the Saudi Arabian Football Association (SAFF), showcases the best of Saudi club football. Over the years, it has evolved to include additional teams, reflecting the growing stature of the competition.

Yasser Al Misehal, president of SAFF, emphasized the significance of the tournament in fostering collaboration between Saudi Arabia and the UAE in football. He highlighted the role of sponsorships in promoting Saudi culture through football and attracting international audiences.

Mohamed Al Khereiji, chairman of Saudi Media Company, underscored the organization's dedication to supporting the goals of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation by providing strategic partnerships and sponsorship opportunities.
