In one of the firsts, Sharjah has a new indoor sports court for the sports enthusiasts in the city. One of a kind in the region, the sports centre has now opened on the third level of Safeer Mall.
Spread across a 36,000 sq. ft playing area, the sports arena includes multiple indoor courts for badminton, cricket, football and table tennis. Located at Dubai-Sharjah highway, the sports area also has a multipurpose court for basketball, volleyball and gully cricket, along with a 10-lane badminton court and 5-A side football court.
Until now, sports enthusiasts did not have a go-to place to practise their games, however, now, with the opening of the new centre, they can access various sports and games at the centre.
The centre which is a part of Al Safeer Group of Companies also offers to coach for ages above four and has a team of well-trained professionals. It will provide well-maintained changing rooms as well, along with cubicles and lockers.
With keeping all safety precautions in mind, the First Sports Center operates from 7 AM until midnight. The centre also provides customers court booking on an hourly, weekly, monthly and yearly basis. They can opt for these slots depending upon their availability.
As the centre opens for the residents of Sharjah, it aims to bring a space for individuals to get back in touch with their athletic side and also maintain fitness during these testing times of COVID-19 where health has been given the utmost priority.
