Mashable: The Starship, which is the most formidable rocket on Earth, has been designed to transport astronauts to the Moon and, in due course, to Mars.

Elon Musk has stated that the colossal Starship rocket, designed to facilitate the safe landing of astronauts on the Moon by 2026, will reach Mars in a span of five years.

This week, SpaceX, the aerospace company founded by Musk, achieved a successful launch of its Starship rocket, standing at an impressive height of 400 feet. The third test flight was conducted in conjunction with the Heavy booster.

The billionaire announced on X that the Starship will reach Mars in less than 5 years. Additionally, the CEO of Tesla shared images of the Starship rocket, expressing amazement at the fact that it is a real photograph.

He further stated that all activities that can be performed on the surface should be carried out on the surface. However, when it comes to warming up Mars, utilizing reflectors created on Phobos and Deimos (the two moons of Mars) could be a viable approach.

The Starship, which is the most formidable rocket on Earth, has been designed to transport astronauts to the Moon and, in due course, to Mars. Comprising of a colossal initial-stage booster named Super Heavy and a 50-meter upper-stage spacecraft referred to as Starship, this revolutionary vehicle is set to redefine space exploration.

Elon Musk intends to relocate a minimum of one million individuals to Mars in the future. "We are strategizing a plan to transport a million people to Mars," Musk stated in a recent update on X.

The Starship launch surpassed all expectations. The largest rocket engine ever built was able to get the Starship higher than any of the previous ones.

He mentioned that for civilization to successfully pass through the single-planet Great Filter, Mars must be able to sustain itself even in the absence of supply ships from Earth. He envisions a future where a journey to Mars will be as common as a domestic flight. Additionally, he has plans to establish a base on the Moon.

Musk expressed the belief that humanity ought to establish a base on the moon, develop cities on Mars, and venture out into the vastness of space.
