The ‘UAE National Day-Marine Edition’ was held at Dubai Marina and some of the UAE’s prominent landmark spots including The Atlantis.
As the UAE celebrated its 50th birthday, the entire country basked into merriment and just like that, yacht owners in the country, celebrated the Golden Jubilee in their unique way as they had a yacht parade across Dubai.
The unique celebration saw 30 yachts, seven boats and six jet skis decorated with colourful flags and balloons on Dubai coastline as they paraded. The two-hour luxury yacht parade included more than 50 UAE flags being hoisted to celebrate the day.
The ‘UAE National Day-Marine Edition’ was held at Dubai Marina and some of the UAE’s prominent landmark spots including The Atlantis.
A visual treat for the onlookers, the event witnessed over 500 UAE nationals, residents and visitors mark the day in a patriotic manner.
The event also witnessed the hoisting of a 50-metre-long UAE flag and 50 other flags from a yacht docked close to Dubai’s Bluewaters Island, which symbolised the UAE’s glorious journey.
Amidst the majestic flag hoisting in the backdrop of the world’s largest and tallest observation wheel — Ain Dubai and national anthem, a feeling of patriotism lingered in the air of Dubai Marina.
After the flag-hoisting ceremony, the guests were taken on a two-hour ride wherein they got to witness Dubai’s landmarks spots through the sea including The Atlantis along with traditional Ayyala and Yowlah dancers enthralled the visitors.
