Mashable: Lame was selected as the perfect representative of QNB Group's ideals and Qatar's can-do attitude.
The internet sensation Khabane ‘Khaby’ Lame, the world’s most followed person on TikTok, was named the official FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 brand ambassador by QNB on Tuesday during a special ceremony.
At the formal signing event, QNB also screened Lame's first-ever TVC with QNB Group as a part of the partnership. The TVC is centered on the theme of ‘dreaming big’, which also serves as the core principle for QNB Group's involvement in this year's FIFA World Cup.
Lame was selected as the perfect representative of QNB Group's ideals and Qatar's can-do attitude, as said by Heba Ali Al Tamimi, General Manager of QNB Group Communications, since his ambitions have been achieved through a combination of determination, hard work, and imagination, much like Qatar.
Sharing his happiness, Lame said, “I am happy to be QNB’s ambassador during the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022. I believe that I am very similar to QNB, I set my dreams and achieve the impossible. I look forward to explore the tournament through QNB’s lens and to make unforgettable memories”.

QNB will receive a number of assets and rights around the region as part of its role, as well as branding exposure in the Host Cities.
