Mashable: Who are you placing your bets on?
After Elon Musk announced on X, formally Twitter, that their fight would be live-streamed on his platform, Mark Zuckerberg is not firing back.
On Threads, the Meta CEO wrote, “Shouldn’t we use a more reliable platform that can raise money for charity?”
Musk revealed earlier in the day that their fight would help to raise money for charity, with all proceeds going veterans. The Tesla CEO revealed that he has been “lifting weights throughout the day preparing for the fight.”
Musk noted that he is “aiming to get to 50-pound free weights" for this week as he builds "muscle fast." However, his "weak spot" would be his physical endurance, and he hopes to make it quick.
Speaking about the proposed fight, well, that does have a date in place. Zuckerberg is ready to fight Musk, but the latter has not decided a venue or a date.
On Threads, Zuckerberg has suggested Aug 26, during first time he called Musk.
"Not holding my breath. I love this sport and will continue competing with people who train no matter what happens here.”
Musk has been training, and when he was testing the live feature of X, he was and showcased himself lifting a dumbbell.
“Product testing & working out kills two birds with one stone! I swing one of the 45 lb weights for a kettle bell workout,” he posted.
In another post, Musk also predicted the winner, “If the fight is short, I probably win. If long, he may win on endurance. I am much bigger and there is a reason MMA has weight divisions.”
