The Press & Sun-Bulletin is the hometown newspaper for Greater Binghamton and the Southern Tier of New York. It was created in 1985 by the merger of the Evening Press, which was first published in 1904 as the Binghamton Press, and the morning Sun-Bulletin, one of the oldest morning newspapers in New York State that got its start in 1822 as the Weekly Republican. The paper serves readers in Broome, Tioga, Chenango and Delaware counties in New York, and Susquehanna County in Pennsylvania. 

In 2006 we opened a state-of-the art printing facility in Johnson City, serving not only our paper, but also the Star-Gazette of Elmira and The Ithaca Journal. The printing facility has allowed us to expand our print offerings and greatly improve the graphic quality of the newspaper.

Our website, pressconnects.com, was first launched in the late 1990’s, and, together with our digital mobile and tablet digital platforms, provides breaking news, photos and videos and other content not appearing in the print newspaper.
