Nowy Dziennik - Polish Daily News.

For 42 years, Nowy Dziennik has maintained the position of the largest and most prestigious Polish-language daily newspaper in the United States. Edited and published in New Jersey and New York is the main source of Polonia information.


The first issue of the Nowy Dziennik was published on February 27, 1971. The founders were Bolesław Wierzbiański, and also her first editor-in-chief, Fr. Preacher Edward Majewski of Lyndhurst, New Jersey, Boleslaw Laszewski of New York, Fr. Marian Święcicki from Dunellen, New Jersey, Fr. Michał Zembrzuski from Doylestown, Pennsylvania, and Edward Luka from Garfield, New Jersey, 1972. He joined the close circle of New Journalists. As an emigration letter, the newspaper has an informational and news profile, extensive national reports, political commentaries, and cultural events. The newspaper was co-operated by: Bożena Intrator, Wojciech Wasiutyński, Małgorzata Szejnert, Piotr Stasiński, Krzysztof Głuchowski.

Over time, the paper has developed into the biggest and most respectable Polish daily in the United States. It is edited for the Polish diaspora.  Nowy Dziennik covers all issues of interest to Polish emigration, including current events in Poland and abroad, investigative journalism, comprehensive reports, political commentary, and cultural events
