The Aachener Nachrichten (AN) is a regional daily newspaper for North Rhine-Westphalia. The main editorial department provides the global coverage for the Aachener Nachrichten as well as for the Aachener Zeitung (AZ). The circulation is also published conjointly with the Aachener Zeitung.

The AN has been released since January 24, 1945, making it the longest-running newspaper in Germany . It is also the first licensed newspaper in Germany.
