archithese is a Swiss journal and series of publications for architecture and theory with editorial staff in Zurich. It was founded in 1971 by Stanislaus von Moos and Hans Reinhard . The booklet is published by the publisher archithese and by the Association of Free-lance Swiss Architects (FSAI) . Every three months, four theme books are published each year - primarily in German. Individual contributions are published in English or French. Since 2015, four or more events, such as panel discussions or exhibitions, have been organized annually under the label archithese context. In addition, the website of the archithesis is also a blog and news portal. The archithesis maintains a critical debate on architectural concepts, projects and buildings. It makes references to art, philosophy, science and application technologies. The journal shows theoretical developments in architecture and urban planning. It mediates between theory and practice, as well as between the architect and user perspectives. Backgrounds of projects are discussed, as well as the position of the architect in society.
