The Auto touring is the monthly club magazine of the Austrian Automobile, Motorcycle and Touring Club (ÖAMTC) and is sent to all members of the club. This is also the reason for the high circulation of more than 1.6 million copies.The first issue of the monthly published club magazine appeared in January 1947. Until 1955, the issues were printed in gravure printing and throughout in black and white . In April 1955, the title page was changed to color printing. The spelling of the title was then Auto Touring in cursive, published 12 issues per year. In January 1956, the ÖAMTC switched to fortnightly publication and the previous newspaper format .
