The Catholic Sentinel is the oldest Catholic newspaper on the West Coast. Established in 1870, it has long played a vital and bolstering role for the Catholic community. The Catholic Sentinel is published twice monthly by Oregon Catholic Press, and is the official newspaper of the Archdiocese of Portland.
