Punjabi newspaper 'Hamdard' started publishing in Toronto in 1991. Earlier it was named 'Canada Ajit' but for some technical reasons, its new name 'Hamdard' was kept by the Chief Editor of daily Ajit Jalandhar, Mr. Barjinder Singh. The Bhullar Communication Association, which was registered in Canada, was printed. Initially, 'Hamdard' was sent to Canada and various cities of America. In 1995, ' A company was formed to run the newspaper Hamadard, which was named 1136811 Ontario Inc. Within a short time, the 'Hamdard' newspaper was being read in Canada, USA and other countries. In January 1997, the management of 'Hamdard' started the magazine 'International Pardesi', which started publishing from Canada and Chandigarh. Today it is being read in almost 60 countries.
