dérive - Zeitschrift für Stadtforschung is an interdisciplinary and independent journal for urbanism and is published quarterly by dérive - Association for Urban Research in Vienna since 2000.In addition to the publication of the magazine, the association is dedicated to the mediation of city-specific topics, including the design of "dérive - Radio for Urban Research" and the organization of "urbanize! - International Festival for Urban Explorations ", which takes place annually in Vienna.The journal confronts sociology with architecture, architecture with art, art with politics, politics with urban and landscape planning, planning with philosophy, philosophy with the economy and vice versa. Numerous editions have a focal theme which is analyzed and prepared by experts in multiple perspectives. The "sampler" editions bring together contributions from a variety of urbanistic knowledge areas.
