Desabhimani is a Malayalam newspaper, which is published in the Indian state of Kerala . It is the organ of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) in Kerala and was founded in Kozhikode in September 1942 as a weekly magazine. In 1946 it became a newspaper. It is the third most widely read newspaper in Kerala, after Malayala Manorama and Mathrubhumi . The magazine appears in nine editions: Kozhikode, Kochi , Thiruvananthapuram , Kannur , Kottayam , Thrissur , Malappuram , Bangalore andBahrain . The editor-in-chief is VV Dakshinamoorthi (2013).
