In 1962, the newspaper "Druzhba" was published at the University, the official printed organ of the Academic Council. Currently, the newspaper comes out with a frequency of 2 times a month and is distributed free of charge throughout the PFUR.

The purpose of the newspaper Druzhba is the search, analysis and coverage of comprehensive information about the PFUR: the experience and problems of training specialists, the various directions of life of the multinational team of students, teachers and staff of the University, its history and traditions. On the basis of the editorial office of the newspaper there is a year-round practice of first-year students of the philological faculty of the journalism direction. The editorial office of the newspaper Druzhba also issues a Bulletin on Integrated Security, which raises issues of security for students and employees of the PFUR, and agitates and promotes safe conduct on the territory of the University.

During the existence of the newspaper, 10 editors were replaced. At present, the editor-in-chief is Alexei Konstantinovich Nebuzdanov.
