Duranta Barta was established on 1st December 1995. It was a new dawn in the blue sky of Bengal and Kolkata which gave birth to the new Bengali Daily Duranta Barta. It was started by Mr Alok Kumar Naskar who has acquired a vast experience in the field of media and communication.Duranta Barta was started with only 2 persons and now we can proudly say that we comprise of a team of 36 well efficient and highly knowledgeable reporters , computer operators , photographers and marketing professionals.Duranta Barta is not only distributed in Bengal and Kolkata but also has made its mark in Assam ,Tripura ,Delhi and Mumbai as well. Irrespective of various obstacles and steep competition in its journey, Duranta Barta - over the last seventeen eventful and colourful years - has always retained its credential as an eponym of neutrality and rationality reflecting our nation and society. Though in this era of internet and fast growing technologies , newspaper is like a mirror to the society.Along with the main edition, Duranta Barta also publishes a monthly health magazine – Suchikitsa, which is helping people to maintain a good health. Suchikitsa has covered a successful journey of 13 years and still flourishing towards further success. Suchikitsa is a member of INS, The Indian News Paper Society.
