The focus was on, among other things, references to already implemented projects in companies and science, and the corresponding promotion and financing models complemented the service character of the platform. Between 2000 and 2005, the platform also acts as Austria-wide organizer of around 150 theme-specific congresses and trade fairs, including the 2,000m2 EConomy Austria Technology Park as part of the co-founded ITnT trade fairs in the Vienna Exhibition Center.

From 2005 Economy also appears as a printed weekly in an Austria-wide edition of 30,000 copies. 58,000 readers and 6,600 top decision makers are ranked by Media Analysis (MA) and Readership Decision Makers (LAE) as the latest current reach for the print magazine. The European Commission nominates the platform from 162 European ICT initiatives for business & research as a Europe-wide flagship project.
