The Ecologist magazine began publishing in 1979 following an ecological and countercultural line . After its disappearance, in 1993 Gaia was created , that would be turned again into the Ecologist in 1999 after the foundation of the state confederation Ecologists in Action , who edits it at the moment. Throughout its trajectory it has been considered like one of the referring ones of the Spanish ecologism.
