Götheborgske Spionen is a party politically and religiously united magazine aimed at students and employees at the University of Gothenburg. The newspaper is published by the newspaper association Götheborgske Spionen. The head of the association is GUS, University of Gothenburg Student Union. The spy comes out with four numbers per year.
Götheborgske Spionen has watched and described the situation of the students for 70 years, first at Gothenburg University, then at Gothenburg University. Today, the Spion is the largest student magazine at the University of Gothenburg, with a copy of 35000 copies.
The name Götheborgske Spionen has long ancestors. In the years 1766-1773, a gossip magazine with that name came out, and when the student council of the Faculty of Philosophy started its student magazine in 1936, it was decided to call the Götheborg Spy, or in the popular spy.
The spy has a completely independent economy and is entirely driven by advertising revenue and subscriptions. The editorial board is independent of both the board and the principal, and the editor and responsible publisher is responsible for all editorial material.
