The Kendall County Record was founded in 1864, and is recognized as a Newspaper Pioneer of Illinois. It is centered in Yorkville, the county seat of Kendall County. Its area of circulation includes the Yorkville and Newark school districts and the communities of Bristol, Yorkville, Newark, Plattville, Lisbon, Millbrook and Minooka.
