Kronehit (Eigenjreibweise in Majuskeln ) is an Austrian  private radio station . For the first time Kronehit went on 28 June 2001 in Vienna and Lower Austria on the air, since 2004 Kronehit Austria to receive. Kronehit belongs to the Association of Mediaprint , which includes the media Kronen Zeitung and Kurier . Kronehit offers a mix of EDM, Rhythm Pop & Dance and serves different music genres with selected special broadcasts. Kronehit can be received via FM as well as via online digital radio stations. Kronehit is currently at Favoritner Gewerbering in the tenth district of Vienna. At the time of the broadcast start as Krone Hit Radio, the broadcaster was legally not a broadcaster, but a mantle program, organized by the owner of the RpN license (Donauwelle) and was taken over by twelve other broadcasters. Since the assumption of moderated program according to law at that time could amount to only 60 per cent of the daily transmission time, parts of the crown hit radio program had to be made unmoderiert. In addition, the station had to produce local news, weather and traffic in each local area. On April 14, 2003, the Crown Hit Radio was renamed Kronehit. The transmitter was directed after the relaunch to a younger and above all rather female audience. In addition to a complete reorientation of music, moderation, packaging and news, the broadcaster focused primarily on promotions to anchor the new image. Kronehit received after a novella of the Privatradiogesetzes on 8 December 2004 as the first provider a nationwide private radio admission and could develop in the consequence its transmitter net as well as to increase its technical range. By the beginning of January 2018,  KommAustria had  allocated about 140  FM frequencies to the station throughout Austria. In addition to the reception via VHF, Kronehit has around 25 digital radio stations, these being composed of 20 permanent and 5 temporary digital radio stations. In 2017, Kronehit received the Future Zone Award for the "App of the Year" with the "Kronehit Smart" app, and the "Austrian Radio Prize" in the "Innovation" category for "Kronehit Tv" a year earlier. In June 2015, the station received the Austrian Radio Award   in the category "Promotion" for the "Kronehit Facebook Experiment Reloaded".
