The Ticino mountaineer was born in 1959 as a social bulletin to sign the unity of the various alpine associations present in Ticino. Over the years, the bulletin has increasingly taken on the tone of a magazine, tackling the numerous issues pertaining to the Alpine environment and its attendance from time to time.Today the Ticino Alpinist is, in Ticino, the reference magazine for a heterogeneous public of mountain lovers or lovers. A section dedicated to the various activities of the affiliated associations supports a substantial part of the study of mountain themes. It includes interviews, presentations of itineraries, reviews, news and insights on cultural, environmental, sports and security issues.Printed in 7'5000 copies, appears four times a year and is distributed free to members of the FAT sections, or obtainable by subscription with an investment of Fr. 25.- per year.
