Libération Champagne is a French regional daily newspaper from the city of Troyes, with a particular interest in news from Troyes and the communes of Aube . The newspaper was founded in 1945 by members of the Aube.
In the summer of 1945, the Commissioner of the Republic(Champagne region), Grégoire Ghislain, summoned to Châlons-sur-Marne several leaders of the resistance auboise, who asked to assert their rights in favor of the law of devolution of companies of press collaborating with the enemy. Gabriel Thierry and Germain Rincent represented indiscriminately two recognized clandestine formations: Libération-Nord and the SFIO Socialist Party . Muter, Paupe and Jean Bruley represented the Secret Army and CLV . The FN had a delegate. It was decided that Libération Champagne would replace Le Petit Troyenand that L'Est-Éclair wouldreplace La Tribune de l'Aube .

Charles Arpin was appointed manager, Georges Ferry, director, Thierry and Rincent political directors. Eight people were associated with the launch of the newspaper: Roger Gouaille, Jean Garric, Dr. Ménard, Paul Brandon, Alphonse Guerry, Georges Marty, Alfred Lanois and Gaston Michel.
