Local News 8 is a television station that was founded in January 1961 and owned by the News-Press & Gazette Company. The station covers local news, weather, sports and consumer information. It broadcasts a high-definition digital signal on VHF channel 8. It is the third television station to broadcast in Eastern Idaho.
