LoungeFM is a private radio station. The music selection is based on the genres Adult Pop, Chillout, Lounge, Smooth Jazz and Easy Listening. The slogan of the station is: "Simply good music" and "Listen & Relax". In June 2005, LoungeFM started as the world's first only UMTS-receivable radio in the network of the mobile provider ONE(today Hutchison Drei Austria ). Shortly thereafter LoungeFM also went online as a web radio. In the years 2008 to 2010, LoungeFM was the official radio of the Internet presence of the newspaper Der Standard . Also the hourly messages of the program come from the newsroom of www.derStandard.at. Since May 29, 2008 LoungeFM can be heard via FM in Upper Austria in Linz, Wels, Freistadt and Steyr. In 2010, the transmission area was extended to Gmunden. In 2011, the station also started in Klagenfurt, followed in 2014 by Salzburg and in Innsbruck ( station Schlotthof), 2015 Inzing. In Vienna, the station is to be received within the framework of a temporary "event frequency". Thus, LoungeFM went the reverse way to most other radio stations. Launched as a digital radio, the way to analogue reception via VHF followed later.
