MW magazine is part of MW.Com India Pvt Ltd (MIPL), a Mumbai-based publishing company which was set up in the year 1999. MW, which started life as Man’s World, was launched in February 2000, as India’s first men’s luxury lifestyle magazine. The company’s other major publication is Rolling Stone India, the Indian edition of Rolling Stone, the world’s best known music and pop culture magazine for young people. MIPL’s contract publishing division publishes specialised magazines for companies and organizations, and also creates content for third party websites. Among the companies it has created magazines for include Mahindra Holidays, Kuoni Travels, Air Tel, Future group, Air Deccan, Go Air, and the National Centre for the Performing Arts. The company’s editorial and marketing offices are based in Mumbai.
