natur & land is the Austria-wide magazine of the Austrian Nature Conservation Union. It is published by subscription 4 times a year, but can also be obtained as part of a membership of the Nature Conservation Union.nature & land is the oldest nature conservation magazine in Austria.It was first published on 1 December 1913 by the Association for Regional Studies of Niederöstrerreich. At that time the magazine was still called "Blätter für Naturkunde und Naturschutz für Niederösterreich". The first editor was the zoologist Günther Schlesinger, who also became the first chairman of the Austrian Nature Conservation Union, founded in 1924.
