The (Al-Sharqiya) group currently consists of two channels, the first is called (Al-Sharqiya) ALSHARQIYA and broadcasts via HD technologies. It is a general channel that contains programs, news, sports, culture, arts and competitions. The channel broadcasts via two frequencies on the Nilesat satellite, the first with SD technology, and it has been in existence since 2004, and the second via HD technology, as well as broadcasting on the European satellite HOTBIRD. Al-Sharqiya channel ranks first in the prevalence rate and the degree of credibility among all Arabic-speaking channels, according to all opinion polls conducted in Iraq, including IPSOS surveys, where Al-Sharqiya ranks first.
