Established in 1873, the Panola Watchman publishes print editions each Wednesday and Sunday, and updates breaking news daily on web and mobile sites. It covers news from the Panola County seat of Carthage, where the paper is based, Beckville and Gary. The Watchman continues to be the only newspaper to exclusively serve the citizens of Panola County with two publications a week.
