PUBLiC TV is a 24-hour Kannada language news television channel which was launched on 26 January 2012. It went live on 12 Feb 2012. The channel owned by Writemen Media Pvt. Ltd., which headquarters also located in TTMC Building, BMTC, Yeshwanthpur, Bengaluru. Writemen Media Pvt. Ltd., also launched PUBLiC TV sister Channel PUBLiC Music in the year 2014. PUBLiC TV is a brainchild of veteran Kannada journalist H.R.Ranganath. He teamed up with young team of enthusiasts to launch this channel. Many of this team are new to journalism, though it achieved many feats within a short period. It became very popular among Kannada viewers.
