Radio 5 is an "all news" radio station operated by Radio Nacional de España, part of Spain's state-owned public broadcasting organization, Corporación de Radio y Televisión Española (RTVE). It began broadcasting in 1989, following a reorganization of public radio services in that year. Radio 5 broadcasts all news since 1994. From a June-2016 survey, Radio 5 receives 289,000 listeners daily.
