Radio Bern 1 is a private local radio station in the Bern region. Seat of the transmitter is the media house on Dammweg. The organizers, Radio Bern 1 AG is located, as its predecessor company Capital FM AG with a share capital of CHF 400,000 wholly owned by the Zurich Medien AG. In 2012, the station employed 32 employees (around 24 full-time equivalents) and four freelancers. The station has its roots in the predecessor program Capital FM, whose FM frequencies he took to the start. At the same time, the station extended the distribution area to the Bernese Oberland as far as Solothurn and from the Emmental to Murten.
