Canal 3 is the bilingual local radio station in the Biel / Bienne region in Switzerland. It broadcast its first broadcast on February 29, 1984. The station has two frequencies, a French-speaking and an Alemannic for some programs or sports programs. In 2004 , the dismissal of the head of the French-speaking editorial board caused a stir, particularly because of the fear that the station would lose its bilingual character, since to cope with the reduction in production costs, no German-speaking language position was removed. while it remains more than two for the French wording which is asked to register since the evening news the following morning. In December of the same year, Canal 3 was taken over by the Bern press group Espace Media, which publishes the Berner Zeitung.
