Radio FM1 is a Swiss radio station that was formed in 2008 from the merger of the two radio stations Radio Ri and Radio Aktuell. He is sent from studios in Buchs SG (former studio of Radio Ri) and St. Gallen (former studio of Radio Aktuell). FM1 belongs to the NZZ Media Group and can be received via VHF in the cantons of St. Gallen, Appenzell Innerrhoden, Appenzell Ausserrhoden and parts of the cantons of Grisons, Thurgau, Glarus, Schwyz and Zurich and throughout the Principality of Liechtenstein. In addition, FM1 can be received via DAB + throughout German-speaking Switzerland. The broadcasting start for radio FM1 was on May 7, 2008 and has its own, based on data of the Publica Data AG information, daily over 229,000 listeners (as of the 2nd semester 2017). So it is the private radio, which is the second-most heard in Switzerlandl. In addition to the radio program, Radio FM1 operates the regional online news portal FM1Today, which publishes news, service and entertainment contributions for the broadcasting area.
