The Redlands Daily Facts was founded by Edgar F. Howe in 1890 as a weekly newspaper and became a daily paper two years later.
In 1895 Howe sold the Facts to Capt. William G. Moore. Moore’s son Paul Moore and later his grandsons Bill and Frank Moore continued the family ownership of the Facts for nearly 90 years. Bill Moore was publisher and Frank Moore was editor of the Facts for about 40 years until they sold the Facts to Donrey Media Group in 1981.
The Facts is now a member of the Southern California News Group, a division of MediaNews Group and Digital First Media. Coverage area includes Redlands, Mentone and some areas of Highland, Loma Linda and Yucaipa.
