Sputnik Newspaper Azad is India's first Hindi news weekly, which is the most popular and widely circulated newspaper. The founder editor of Sputnik Newspaper is Mr. Dinesh Awasthi. Mr. Dinesh Awasthi started the publication of Sputnik on May 18, 1958 from Indore Madhya Pradesh. On January 22, 1989, the Sputnik Lucknow edition was inaugurated by the then Chief Minister Shri Narayan Dutt Tiwari. Sputnik is known for its fidelity. Sputnik has always encouraged rural journalism. Sailian writer Dinesh Awasthi used to travel an average of 15 to 20 thousand kilometers in a year. Having written more than half a dozen plays and three novels, he spent most of his time writing saline literature. He traveled through the United States and Europe and wrote the journey, for which he will be remembered forever. He wrote a serial named Bhilan Looti Gopika and the bloodstream from the Nanihal of Ram, from Ram Nanihal, 106 days in the Manu Manu Manat Shanthamangal Nayak and in America. He died on December 6, 2003. After the demise of Dinesh Awasthi, his dowry Mrs. Shanti Devi Awasthi has kept the torch of the journal of Sputnik with a torch of journalism. Presently, Shree Shyam Awasthi, the Editor-in-Chief of Sputnik, is the Editor of Shri Balram Awasthi and Editor of the Sputnik Lucknow edition, Dr. Geeta.
